1. Our Mission & Your Role
WeShare exists for one purpose: to give.
Our board game, Share the Commons, promotes sustainability, equity, cooperation, and social good. We believe in redistributing profit—not hoarding it—so 100% of the net profit from each sale goes to the individual or organization who shared the game.
By joining our Affiliate Program, you help advance education, empowerment, and nonprofit-aligned missions. Whether you’re a nonprofit, educator, creator, business, or individual, you’re part of a community working to build a fairer world.
2. Who Can Join
Anyone committed to positive change is welcome:
- ✅ Nonprofits advancing education, equity, and sustainability
- ✅ Content creators and educators
- ✅ Community organizers and value-aligned entrepreneurs
- ✅ Individuals sharing the game with heart
Your efforts power our platform—and the full profit from each game sale you refer goes directly to you.
3. Affiliate Responsibilities
We ask all affiliates to operate in line with our shared values:
- ✅ Use only your provided affiliate link so referrals are properly tracked
- ✅ Promote ethically, with honesty and transparency
- ✅ Respect privacy, copyrights, and applicable laws
- ✅ Disclose your affiliate relationship clearly, as required by FTC guidelines
- ✅ Center your promotion around impact, education, and community benefit
Affiliates are encouraged to connect their promotion of Share the Commons with their own cause or values-based mission. Affiliates act independently and are solely responsible for their promotional content and outreach methods.
4. Earnings and Payments
- ✅ Affiliates earn 100% of the net profit (after basic operating expenses) for every sale they refer
- ✅ All referral earnings are tracked in real time through your affiliate dashboard
- ✅ Payments are issued monthly via PayPal using the payment email provided by the affiliate
- ✅ There is no minimum payout threshold
- ✅ We reserve the right to withhold payments in cases of fraud, policy violation, or abuse
Affiliates are responsible for any tax reporting or obligations that may apply to their earnings, based on their status as an individual, business, or tax-exempt organization.
5. Operating Costs & Transparency
WeShare is committed to transparent, fair fund distribution:
- ✅ Profit = Sale Price – Basic Operating Expenses
- ✅ Basic operating expenses are capped at 30% and cover manufacturing, marketing, web infrastructure, affiliate tools, and minimal payroll
- ✅ As WeShare grows, operating costs may evolve to support long-term sustainability, expanded services, and greater impact
- ✅ Any adjustments to expenses will be clearly documented and communicated to affiliates and stakeholders
- ✅ We always aim to balance financial responsibility with our mission to redistribute value for community benefit

Whether you’re a formal nonprofit or a mission-driven individual, Share the Commons can support and amplify your impact. You are invited to use the game as a fundraising tool, educational aid, or community engagement resource.
7. Use of Educational Tool
